About
The Advanced Visualization and Interactive Design Center located in the Harry F. Shaw building at Fayetteville Technical Community College is dedicated to delivering leading edge interactive 3D and Virtual Reality solutions for economic and workforce development. The center’s charter also includes assisting the BRAC commission in its mission of promoting industry in the All American corridor.
As part of its charter the center is focused on providing Simulation Modeling Technicians for the global industry. Our 16 week certificate and 2 year degree program places service disabled veterans, veterans, their spouses and any perspective student the opportunity to excel in today’s rapidly evolving marketplace. Our i3D innovation team is implementing interactive technologies within our Dental, Funeral
Services, Computer Information Technology and Criminal Justice
programs. Instructors from traditional mathematics and other
sciences are rapidly included i3D objects in their instruction.
The center consists of 6 Advanced Visualization related labs, each focused on contributing to the overall goal for more effective methods of knowledge transfer. Funded for this purpose, the center has partnered with public and private organizations in order to mix and match the best available innovation in technology.
